293/3 was produced by
Thompson Brothers in 1983 and when she arrived at
our ranch in the late 1980’s she entered our
embryo program because of her genetics and quality
progeny. She was a superior Phantom daughter by
Miss Farrah. The line breeding of Crimson Warrior
produced a prolific donor female. The quality of
her maternal ancestry is seen in the Farrah 189
female who was recognized by BBU in 1976 as the
First Ideal Beefmaster Cow. We produced 14 of 293/3’s daughters at our ranch and they have all been used in our or other breeders’ donor programs. She is known throughout the breed for the quality and performance of her progeny. She is now deceased but many of her grand progeny are producing in our herd and throughout the breed today and will continue her legacy of production for years to come. A really great maternal cow that we have continued to line breed in her grand progeny without dilution of her ancestral influence. 293/3’s breeding strength is evident in our herd and many others throughout the Beefmaster breed. With 293/3 and her outstanding maternal genetic pedigree, she has provided the foundation for substantial breed improvement. She is the dam of Farrah Lady, Vanna, Vanna 2000, Miss BTV, Miss V, Cotton Farrah, Prissy Lady, and Miss Prissy and many others. Her progeny have produced top herdsires in the breed such as Synergy, Infinity, Encore, Captain Lucey, Captain Sugar, and many more. |
